The Luce estate and vineyard is one of Italy’s premier vineyards for wine production. The vineyard is over 217 acres, of which 27 are officially registered for Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, where the Luce is produced. The Luce, Brunello di Montalcino 2013, is a perfectly balanced wine, powerful yet gentle, using pure Sangiovese from the estate. The Brunello is a brilliant ruby-red, with a nose of blond tobacco, Mediterranean scrub, cocoa and balsamic notes followed by ripe black fruit and brandied cherries. The tannins are perfectly balanced and the finish is persistent with sweet tobacco and black current. Lucente is the second wine of Luce, echoing the Brunellos flavors, with an authentic interpretation of Montalcino and the Luce estate.
